Benefits of the iTero Scanner

This digital scanner uses state-of-the-art technology to take 3D images of your entire mouth. Using the scanner means that you don’t have to sit through the discomfort of putty impressions that were used years ago. There’s no need to gag on the sticky goop used for traditional impressions. Plus, digital technology helps to speed up the process for your treatment plan.

A small, handheld wand is used to scan the teeth. It only takes about 2 – 3 minutes of time to complete the scan. You will be able to swallow and breathe during this impression process. We also have the option to pause the process if you need to ask a question or sneeze. Then the computer renders a full, digital, 3D impression of your teeth and gums.

Your comfort is our highest priority! We have found that the iTero scanner is a great tool to gather the data we need in a relaxing, minimally-invasive manner. Additionally, the iTero scanner improves the effectiveness of the treatment plan due to the accuracy of the scans. You can see a simulation of what your post-treatment smile will look like.
