Frequently Asked Questions About Orthodontics

When should my child see an orthodontist for the first time?

Today, pediatric dentists recommend that every child see a qualified orthodontist by age seven. Early intervention can make future treatment less invasive and more successful.

Which is better: Invisalign or braces?

Both treatment protocols have excellent results. Invisalign is helpful for less complex cases of tooth misalignment and dental bite issues, while braces can adapt to most conditions. In addition, Invisalign is only recommended for teens and adults whose jaws have finished growing, while braces are available to all patients with most of their permanent teeth.
